This Privacy Policy (hereinafter, the “PRIVACY POLICY”) regulates, in general terms, the collection and processing by PIHER SENSORS & CONTROLS, S.A., (hereinafter, “PIHER”) of (i) the personal data that you provide us with as a USER of the website accessible through the domain name www.piher.net (hereinafter, the “WEBSITE”), including the services available at any given time through the WEBSITE; and (ii) other data collected through other collection systems duly identified below. All of this without prejudice to the specific provisions established in certain sections, forms or services available on the WEBSITE in order to provide you with the relevant information and, where appropriate, to obtain your consent.
PIHER reserves the right to modify the PRIVACY POLICY in order to adapt it to new legislative, jurisprudential and/or administrative developments, as well as to the practices developed at any given time through the WEBSITE, taking into account your rights and interests at all times.
In any case, PIHER will provide you with the appropriate technical resources so that you can access the PRIVACY POLICY in order to duly comply with the information obligations that we must observe in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.
1. Who is responsible for the processing of your data?
Your personal data will be processed by PIHER SENSORS & CONTROLS, S.A., an entity with registered office in Tudela (Navarra), Spain, Pol. Industrial Municipal, Vial T2, 22, registered in the Register of Foundations of Navarra, under number 416, with N.I.F. nº A-31169907 (hereinafter, “PIHER”).
In any case, for any question related to the PRIVACY POLICY and/or the processing of your personal data, you may contact us via [email protected], set up by PIHER as a single point of contact for interested parties.
2. How did we obtain your data?
The data that we process at PIHER has been obtained from you, (i) through browsing the WEBSITE and / or through other channels (e.g., registration as a user of the WEBSITE, contact forms, etc.); (ii) by sending an email with a query; or (iii) through other capture systems duly identified.
In the event that the personal data provided belongs to a third party, you guarantee that you have informed said third party of the PRIVACY POLICY and have obtained their authorization to provide their data to PIHER for the purposes indicated below.
Unless expressly indicated otherwise in the forms available on the WEBSITE (e.g. by means of the legend “optional” or similar), the provision of data included in these forms will be obligatory and failure to provide them will make it impossible to process your request, whether it refers to your registration as a USER, to obtaining information, or to any other service available on the WEBSITE.
Additionally, we inform you of the possible processing of your social network data through the corporate profiles which, in relation to the WEBSITE, PIHER maintain available on each social network on which they are present, all in accordance with the terms and conditions established on the social network in question.
3. What type of data do we process?
The data that we process are those that you have provided to us while browsing the WEBSITE and/or through the other channels identified above.
In this context, the following categories of data are processed by PIHER:
- Identification data (e.g. name, surname, ID card number, etc.).
- Professional data (company in which you carry out your functions, position and functions, professional postal and e-mail address, and professional telephone number) to the extent that (i) you provide them through the corresponding forms; and (ii) they are necessary for your business location.

- Data on personal characteristics, training, employment, etc. (in the case of job applications/offers and/or PIHER selection processes in which you participate voluntarily).
4. For what purpose do we process your data and on what legal bases?
Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:
- Manage and process your registration as a user, when this is possible and on the basis of your request for pre-contractual measures or the contractual relationship established with you in this regard.
- Manage access and use of the content and services that PIHER makes available through the WEBSITE, including social networks or any other functionality that may be accessible on the WEBSITE at any time, based on your request for pre-contractual measures or on the contractual relationship established with you in this regard.
- Process and manage the request for information, suggestions, complaints or claims made through the WEBSITE or by email and on the basis of that you have consented to this and on the basis of such consent.
- Send commercial and advertising communications of PIHER, by different means, including electronic, regarding products, services, offers, promotions and any other relevant information regarding said entity, provided that you have consented to this and on the basis of such consent.
- Manage your job application or your enrollment in a job offer and your participation in the corresponding selection process,
We remind you that you can, at any time, freely withdraw your consent, without any cost and in the terms indicated in section “What are your rights?” of this document.
5. To whom do we disclose your data?
In addition to the cases in which PIHER is required to do so by a legal obligation (e.g. Tax Administrations, Administration of Justice or other Public Administrations), your data will not be communicated to third parties.
In addition, the data may be accessible by our suppliers, such access being necessary for the proper fulfilment of legal obligations and/or the aforementioned purposes. These suppliers will not use your data for their own purposes of which you have not been previously informed by us. We will only transfer your personal data outside the EU where we are satisfied that adequate levels of protection are in place to protect the integrity and security of any information that is processed and compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
6. For how long will we keep your data?
In general, your personal data will be kept as long as you do not withdraw your consent for the processing or request their deletion, and for the time necessary to fulfil the legal obligations that PIHER must observe.
In any event, we inform you that PIHER has established internal data cleansing policies designed to control the personal data retention periods, so that these may be cancelled when they are no longer needed and / or suitable for the purpose for which they were collected.
In particular, the following is stated:
- For the management of job applications, your data will be kept for a maximum period of 1 (one) years.
7. What are your rights?
The applicable data protection regulation grants you several rights with respect to your personal data which you are free to exercise. Said rights are explained below:
- Access to your data: you have the right to access your data in order to obtain confirmation regarding which of your personal data we are processing.
- Request the rectification or deletion of your data: in certain circumstances, you have the right to rectify inexact personal data which concern you and are processed by us; or, even, to request their deletion when, among other reasons, such data are no longer required for the purpose for which they were collected.
- Request restriction of the processing of your data: in certain circumstances, you have the right to ask that we restrict the processing of your data, in which case we inform you that we will only keep them to execute or defend complaints as envisaged by the applicable data protection regulation.
- Data portability: in certain circumstances, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, and which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format, and to transfer them to another data controller.
- Object to the processing of your data: in certain circumstances, and for grounds relating to your particular situation, you have the right to object to the processing of your data, in which case we would stop processing them unless they must be kept for compelling legitimate grounds, or to execute or defend potential claims.
You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without this affecting the lawful nature of data processing carried out based on your consent prior to their withdrawal.

Finally, note that you can submit a complaint to the competent Supervisory Authority (in Spain, the Spanish Data Protection Agency), particularly when you have not obtained satisfaction in the exercise of your rights. You can contact said Authority via its website: www.aepd.es.
8. Security measures
PIHER will, at all times, process your data with complete confidentiality, observing its duty of secrecy according to the stipulations of the applicable data protection regulation. It will take all of the necessary technical and organizational steps to guarantee the security of your data and prevent their unauthorized alteration, loss, processing or access, given the status of technology, the nature of the data stored and the risks to which they are exposed.
