Piher Sensing Systems Receives the Sustainable Company 2026 Award

We are proud to announce that PIHER Sensing Systems has received the Sustainable Company 2026 Award, promoted by LABORAL Kutxa and the Cámara de Comercio de Navarra.

The award recognizes the commitment of companies in Navarra to sustainability and the adoption of good environmental, social, and governance practices. The jury particularly highlighted the balance PIHER has achieved across the three ESG pillars: environmental responsibility, social commitment, and good governance.

This recognition reflects our commitment to integrating sustainability into our operations, investments, workplace culture, and long-term business strategy.

Governance based on ethics and transparency

Our governance model is based on integrity, transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance. It includes regular training on our Code of Ethics, preventive compliance mechanisms, internal communication channels, monitoring tools, and a confidential reporting system.

These mechanisms strengthen trust among employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. They also ensure that our sustainability commitments are supported by clear responsibilities, effective oversight, and continuous improvement.

Turning environmental commitments into action

PIHER has developed a clear decarbonization strategy based on renewable energy, process electrification, energy efficiency, responsible resource management, and circularity.

Since 2021, we have reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by 97%. We have also reduced annual water consumption by 60%, supported by improvements in monitoring, infrastructure, treatment processes, and the responsible use of water throughout our facilities.

Our waste-management model prioritizes prevention, reuse, recycling, and the reintegration of materials into production. These measures help us reduce waste at its source while supporting a more efficient and circular industrial model.

Sustainability centred on people

PIHER places people, workplace safety, equality, flexibility, and professional development at the centre of the organization. Our preventive culture is based on the principle of Safety First and supported by an occupational health and safety management system certified under ISO 45001.

We promote equality, diversity, and inclusion through regularly reviewed plans, specific protocols, training, and employee participation. We also offer flexible working arrangements designed to help employees balance their professional, personal, and family responsibilities.

Continuous training, career development, internal promotion, and direct communication with management contribute to a safe, respectful, and participative workplace where people can grow and contribute to our shared objectives.

Recognition of a shared effort

These achievements would not have been possible without the dedication of our employees and the contribution of the teams responsible for our environmental, operational, social, and governance initiatives.

We would like to thank everyone at PIHER whose daily work has contributed to this recognition. We also thank LABORAL Kutxa, the Cámara de Comercio de Navarra, and the members of the jury.

This recognition encourages us to continue progressing and to strengthen our collaboration with like-minded companies that share our commitment to responsible and sustainable business.

Working with companies that share our commitment

Sustainability challenges cannot be addressed by one organization alone. They require cooperation across the value chain, including customers, suppliers, technology partners, and local communities.

We want to work with organizations that are ready to turn ESG objectives into practical action. By sharing knowledge, improving processes, developing responsible technologies, and building more sustainable supply chains, we can increase our collective impact.

If your organization shares these goals, we would welcome the opportunity to explore how we can progress together.
